Our students take their best shot every day.

The Forward Training Center of Hood County's fifth annual "Shoot for a Cause/Shatter the Cycle" sporting clay shoot event is a unique and exciting way to raise funds for the Powered for Life (PFL) youth job skills training program.

The event will take place June 9 at the Defenders Outdoor Clay Sports Ranch, located at 8270 Aledo Rd. in Fort Worth. Registration will begin at 8:30 am. The event promises to be a day filled with healthy competition, tasty food, and great company.

There are different sponsorship levels available, including platinum, gold, and silver, with varying benefits for each level. For example, the platinum level includes three four-man teams, three carts, signage, and advertising at the event. The gold level includes two four-man teams, two carts, signage, and advertising, while the silver level includes one four-man team, one cart, signage, and advertising.

Individual shooters can also register for $125, and there is a special price of $65 for youth (18 and under) and ladies concurrent. All participants will enjoy a catered lunch from Hard Eight Barbeque, which is included in the registration fee.

In addition to the exciting sporting clay shoot, the event will also raise awareness and funds for the Powered for Life (PFL) youth job skills training program. The PFL program is designed to help young people overcome barriers that may prevent them from reaching their full potential and creating a personalized roadmap to achieve their long-term goals.

The program is particularly beneficial for students labeled negatively by society or as the best or near perfection, putting undue pressure on them to perform or be people pleasers. The PFL program seeks to break down those barriers and provide young people with the skills and tools they need to become assets to the business community and reject labels that may hold them back from achieving their full potential.

Overall, the "Shoot for a Cause/Shatter the Cycle" event is an excellent opportunity to have fun while supporting a worthy cause. Participants will have the chance to engage in healthy competition, meet new people, and make a difference in the lives of young people in their community.

For those who cannot attend the event but still want to support the PFL program, there is an opportunity to make a tax-deductible monetary donation. Every donation, no matter the size, will help to make a difference in the lives of young people and support their journey toward achieving their goals and dreams.

In conclusion, the Forward Training Center of Hood County's fifth annual "Shoot for a Cause/Shatter the Cycle" sporting clay shoot event is a wonderful opportunity to support a worthy cause while having fun. With different sponsorship levels and individual registration options available, there is something for everyone to get involved in and make a difference in their community.
